Founder
With over a decade of experience in the arena of higher education, Risa believes that career development is a personalized journey based on your vision and dreams rather than just the expected societal pressures.
Having designed and facilitated hundreds of professional development workshops to support students, Elix Collegiate was created to support college students through their transition from academia into their desired career with targeted content, mentorship, and community building. The EC platform recognizes that college students are multidimensional and therefore need holistic support, not just as students but as young professionals.

Through our platform, we offer evening and weekend virtual Accelerated Workshops alongside EC Cohorts, which are 5-week exclusive group learning experiences.

Resume Design 101
This workshop will teach you key strategies for creating a standout resume that grabs employers’ attention for internships and jobs. You’ll learn how to highlight your skills and update your resume as you gain experience through college, internship, and early-stage career! Students who join will receive a free EC Resume Design Template and Data Collection Document.
Interview Preparation 101
This workshop covers essential interview skills including preparation, communication, and etiquette. We understand that interviews can be challenging, especially for those dealing with anxiety or public speaking. We’ll share practical strategies to help present yourself confidently at every stage of the interview process. Students who join will receive a free EC Interview Preparation Template.
EC COHORTS
This is a 5-week, virtual professional development opportunity for college students ready to invest in their future at the next level.
Alongside our weekly workshops featuring interactive discussions and engaging activities, participants will also have the opportunity to complete “fun work” assignments each week. This allows Risa to personalize and support your experience as a peer in the program. We believe in creating a dynamic and enriching experience for all participants.
The weekly workshops are about 45-60 minutes and the fun work is about 30-45 minutes.
There is an application as well as an interview for candidates.
